Yoga Weekend Retreats

at Holycombe House, Whychford


Holycombe House is a beautiful purpose built retreat centre in the heart of the Cotswolds. These retreats are open to all. For those wanting to deepen their existing practise or simply to take time to recharge away from the demands of daily life. A time to practise, rest and reflect. Jackie has over 20 years experience of mind body health and yoga worldwide and has been running retreats at Holycombe House for several years.

Building your own Personal Yoga Practise

Have you ever wanted to start a yoga practise at home, but not known know where to begin?  

Blending the principles of Ayurveda with the insights of yoga, you will learn to understand the basic building blocks from which to construct your practise. Drawing from a wealth of possibilities including dynamic flowing physical postures, breathwork, meditation and guided imagery, you will leave with a clear system for creatively developing your own authentic yoga path to health.

Cost is £255 or £235 early bird special, if you pay your £50 non refundable deposit before the end of June. Price includes delicious home cooked vegetarian food, twin room accomadation and all tuition. The weekends starts at 6pm on Friday and ends after lunch on Sunday.

A typical weekend retreat schedule looks like this, although of course, each weekend is unique and the format is open to change. You can attend as much or as little as you like:

Friday

  • 4 - 6pm arrival
  • 6pm Yoga posture class - to relax and unwind from your journey
  • 7pm Dinner
  • 8.30pm Introduction and guided meditation

Saturday

  • 8am Morning Yoga and pranayama
  • 9.30am Breakfast
  • 10.30 - 12.00  Workshop on chosen theme of weekend
  • 1.00pm lunch
  • 2 - 4.30pm Relaxation time: naptime, reading by the fire, walk in the countryside
  • 4.30pm Gentle posture work and pranayama followed by guided deep relaxation
  • 6.30pm Dinner

Sunday

  • 8am Morning Yoga and pranayama
  • 9.30am Breakfast
  • 10.30-12.00 Workshop
  • 1.00pm Lunch
  • 2.00pm Closing Session
  • 2.30pm Farewell
