13 week course (excluding half term) – starts Tuesday 3rd September 2019

This term we will be focussing on mindfulness and its expression through the dynamic physical flow of breath linked postures.

In our yoga practice we can often use force with the body to achieve results. Instead, you will be encouraged to allow the body to open through a loving mindful attention and develop a more respectful, nurturing relationship with your body.

This doesn’t mean that you won’t be challenged within the postures! The dynamic flowing asanas with emphasis on the breath will leave you relaxed , energised and calm.

This course is suitable for complete beginners and for those with an established practise who want to learn gentle flowing postures, meditation and breathwork to help with stress management.

You will be encouraged to listen to your body’s own natural cues, to find the balance between strength and ease within postures. As we progress you will be offered more challenging postures, always encouraged to work at you “intelligent edge” without strain.”

The class begins by gently mobilising joints and muscles, building to more dynamic and longer flowing sequences. The course includes aspects of yoga philosophy, pranayama and meditation techniques for a more complete experience of the yoga path.
